Google Docs directions up! October 28, 2009
Posted by Nuss in General.comments closed
So, I’ve got a mostly done version of the Google Docs directions up on the Junior English page — certainly enough to get you started. But I’ve still got a bit of work to do to finalize it. I’ll update this message to let you know when the final version is uploaded to the site (probably either very late tonight, or sometime tomorrow).
The Google Docs directions are complete and ready for full download on the Junior English page. E-mail me if you have any questions or issues.

Welcome to the site for all of Mr. Nusser’s classes at Rogers High School. Here you will find numerous resources to help you perform better in my classes. Here are some things to note:
- The most useful function of the site for most of you will be the class pages. Click on the link to your class at the top of this page, and it will take you to a page where you can find general information about the course, directions on how to access the online textbook, and make-up lessons for each day — complete with downloadable materials.
- I’ll also occasionally post general correspondence to each class on this main page. Look below this welcome message for those.
- You can contact Mr. Nusser by clicking on the e-mail link to the right.
- There also is a link to Home Access Center (HAC) where you can check your grades. Use it frequently.

You might have noticed that I fell a little behind in updating each class’s page over the past couple of months. For that, I apologize. But I have resumed the daily updates, so you can start checking in here again.
If you need things from that two-month window, please contact me directly.

I mentioned earlier that my make-up lessons for Monday, Oct. 13, might be late getting up on the site. Well, they’re up now, so feel free to “make-up” to your heart’s content.

If you’re here looking for the make-up lessons for Monday, Oct. 13, you’ll notice they aren’t up yet. I’ve got a meeting to go to that lasts until 5 p.m., so I’ll try and get them up as soon as I can after that. I apologize for any inconvenience

Slight change in format of Web site September 30, 2008
Posted by Nuss in Blogroll.1 comment so far
Hey guys. When I introduced you to this Web site back in the first week of school, I told you I’d be posting a “week at a glance” for each class so you could get a sense of what’s going on each period.
Well, I’ve decided to not do that. What I’m going to do instead is post more detailed descriptions of what went on each class that day. I feel this is necessary because of the struggle many students have in making it to school everyday. This will give students a better opportunity to know what they need to make up in more detail.
Most classes will now have packets of stuff that will be due at the end of each unit. In those packets will be the Entry Task sheets and any worksheets/notes I want you to keep. If you go to the page for your class — which you can find by clicking on the appropriately named link at the top of each page — you’ll find three things for each day of class:
- The Entry Task, which you will be expected to complete, even when you miss class.
- A brief description of what students were expected to complete in class that day.
- Downloadable materials that were handed out in class that day.
This will hopefully help you stay caught up, and know what you have to do if you’re ever assigned a Wednesday make-up day. Remember, it’s your job to track down what you missed, not mine.

Where’s the week at a glance? May 19, 2008

So, I haven’t posted a week at a glance in a couple of weeks, and for that I’m sorry if you’ve come to depend on them. I know you don’t want to hear excuses, so I won’t give you any. (But if you do want to hear excuses, I’ll be happy to share them with you.)
Bottom line? If you want to know what we’ve got going on, just e-mail me. I’ll be happy to share what you missed or what you’re going to miss.
